City Fort Palace
The construction of the City Fort Palace started in 1625 AD. The architectural elements of the fort are the rugged bastion, ramparts, with delicate domes and balustrades. There are many suites and apartments with in the fort built by different rulers at different points of times. The entrance is through the Hathi Pol or the Elephant Gate built in the 17th century AD.
Maharao Madho Singh Museum
Maharao Madho Singh Museum is housed in the old palace. The museum has a rich collection of Rajput Miniature Paintings of the Kota School, magnificent sculptures, murals and arms. The museum also has on display the artistic items used by the Kota rulers.
Jagmandir Palace
one of the Maharanis of Kota built the Jagmandir Palace in 1740 AD. It was the pleasure palace built on the waters of Kishor Sagar Lake just like the Jag Niwas Palace of Udaipur. The palace makes a picture perfect sight when its reflection falls in the lake's waters.
Brij Vilas Palace Museum
Brij Vilas Palace Museum is near the Jagmandir Palace. It is a small government-run museum housed in the Brij Vilas Palace. The museum has very rare collection of stone idols and other sculptural fragments particularly from the archaeological sites at Baroli and Jhalawar. You can also see some very rare coins and manuscripts from the Hadoti sculpture over here.
