Taragarh Fort
Taragarh Fort or the Star Fort was built in 1354 AD. It is one of the most magnificent forts of Rajasthan. Nestled on a thickly wooded hill, Taragarh has a huge reservoir, which was built to supply water to the palace.
The Palace
The palace is w0nderful structure and is a fine specimen of the Rajput architecture. You may witness some of the superb Bundi murals.
Chattar Mahal
Chattar Mahal or the Palace of Towers is a steep bottleneck passage and the only way to reach the monument. Special attractions within the palace are the Hazari Pol or Gate of the Thousand, the Naubat Khana, the Hathi Pol with its Old Water Clock and the Diwan-i- Aam.
Nawal Sagar Lake
Nawal Sagar can be seen the fort. It is an artificial lake in square shape and is broken up by islets. There is a temple dedicated to Varuna, the Aryan god of water, in the center of the lake half submerged in the water. The lake gives the reflection of the entire city and its palaces, which makes for an impressive sight.
Chitrshala
Chitrshala is an attractive pavilion where a miniature murals decorates the palace. These fresco paintings on the walls depict scenes from the Ragmala and Raaslila, i.e., the story from the life of Radha and Krishna.
